The subject matter of Ondřej Šupka’s book is the big “farewell” concert tour of Bohemian and Moravian cities that Antonín Dvořák arranged before his departure for the USA in 1892. The book is based on a considerable quantity of period printed and manuscript sources, including periodicals from the era, preserved correspondence of the persons involved, and memoirs. The publication also contains photographs, the vast majority of which are entirely unknown, so the public now has the opportunity of seeing them for the very first time.
The book has been prepared with the kind support of the Karel Komárek Family Foundation and of the State Culture Fund of the Czech Republic.

The price of the book and of a basic membership in the Club of Friends is CZK 1,500 (60 EUR). Your contribution is in the form of a donation.

The book is available in Czech language only.
