Children and youth from a community that deals with the consequences of the 1997´s destructive flood found themselves on an unequal starting point compared to other kids their age. Their neighbourhood lacks civic amenities and barely any chances to self-development. They often attend non-quality schools and are endangered by premature quitting. There are low opportunities to spend their spare time in a reasonable way. Although we could notice a shift in how the Romani kids are approached, it is them in particular who still pay for an unequal access to many spheres of their lives.
 

We try to change this setup by our more than twenty years long engagement and field work in community affected by the massive flood. Life Together offers wide range of activities for local children and youth. This camp is a culmination of those attempts. It is held each summer since 1998. For most of our kids this camp is the only one they get the chance to attend.

In order to be able to arrange all mentioned and to give children an authentic summer experience and opportunity to leave the excluded areas, we need some funds. Please help us carry out a stay to which our children and youth looks forward to and which is the only one they get the chance to attend.
