Pavel was a good friend and colleague. His latest Facebook message began with the words "a tough week." He had a lot of plans - instead, we learned a few hours later that we would never see him again.

Pavel was very active and open. He liked discussions, loved philology and history, but most of all his family life, garden and his three dogs… He supported his children with their studies and looked forward to their successes.
