Girls of Room 28 - Educational Exhibition for Schools and the Public

The content of the project is to make the educational exhibition "Girls from the Room" accessible to schools and to the general public. The aim of the project is the personality development especially of the pupils of the 2nd level of primary and secondary schools through the work with personal stories that took place in Terezín during the 2nd World War. The collected donations are used to cover the energy of the spaces and the further development of the project (extension of the German version of the exhibition, translation of the publication Kompendium 2017 into the Czech language - http://www.room28.net/kompendium/compendium-2017/).

The collected donations are used to cover the energy of the spaces and the further development of the project, the aim of which is the personality development especially of the pupils of the 2nd level of primary and secondary schools through the work with personal stories that took place in Terezín during the 2nd World War.

The exhibition was carried out by the German journalist and author Hannelore Brenner-Wonschick, who published a book of the same name, supplemented by preserved documentary materials, based on the personal memories of women imprisoned in Terezín.

The exhibition is the first step towards closer collaboration with Mrs. Hannelore Brenner (and the organization Room 28 e.V.) on educational projects for schools.

The exhibition is located in the Terezín, in the free spaces of the Artillery Barracks, reconstructed within the framework of the Integrated Operational Program (http://www.projekt-terezin.cz).

The exhibition was opened in November 2017 with the financial support of the Deutsch-Tschechischer Zukunftsfonds 
and Ústecká komunitní nadace.
