Vlaštovka (The Swallow) is the first organization in the Czech Republic to systematically develop the field of child life (play specialism) and theatre for children and their families in palliative care. Play and art are not only sources of joy but, above all, powerful tools of support in difficult life situations. Vlaštovka’s child life specialists accompany families with seriously ill children over the long term, teaching them coping strategies for fear and pain while offering ways to find playful moments even in the hardest times. Our mission is to bring moments of relief, lightness, and freedom into the lives of patients and their loved ones.
