In 2025, a new early music ensemble, SILENTIUM! ensemble, made its debut on the musical landscape. Its Artistic Director is Tereza Válková, who served as the chorus master for the Czech Ensemble Baroque between 2008 and 2024. The ensemble collaborates with distinguished soloists, including Adam Plachetka, Hana Blažíková, Simona Šaturová, and Jean-François Lombard. It performs at prestigious festivals—including Prague Spring, Smetana’s Litomyšl, the Leoš Janáček International Music Festival, and the Znojmo Music Festival—alongside renowned orchestras like the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin and under the direction of conductors such as Tomáš Netopil, Roman Válek, and Andreas Scholl. SILENTIUM! ensemble focuses on the authentic interpretation of Renaissance and Baroque repertoire while artfully bridging the chasm between historical tradition and the contemporary era.
