Caring for a bedridden loved one requires everything – time, strength, and heart. Diapers for families in Ukraine, most often in Transcarpathia, who care for sick loved ones. And in Czechia, support for those who remain invisible – Ukrainian seniors and people with disabilities. We help 150 families. Dignified care and human contact – where everything else is often lacking.

A wonderful summer with Czech (June–September 2025)
In the summer of 2025, we implemented the project "Expanding Intercultural Work with Ukrainian Preschool Children in Mníšek pod Brdy" (ČEZ PR25/75864) thanks to the support of the Pomáhej pohybem – Nadace ČEZ program.
In Mníšek pod Brdy, we organized a series of playful language meetings for Ukrainian preschool children during the summer of 2025. The children practiced Czech in nature – in the forest, by the pond, in the meadow – and got to know the surroundings and new friends. The program was complemented by a visit to a small animal exhibition and a joint trip, which was also assisted by volunteers. The project also included intercultural counseling for parents, which helped several families better orient themselves in the Czech environment.
The Wonderful Summer with Czech project fulfilled its purpose. The children learned Czech in a natural way and developed communication and social skills in a group setting. The program took place in a friendly and safe atmosphere that boosted their confidence and interest in the language. Intercultural work with parents brought a deeper understanding of the families' needs and enabled more targeted support for their adaptation to the Czech environment.

Incontinence aids for bedridden elderly and physically and mentally disabled clients in Ukraine.
Information about the project in 2025
Charity activities are important because they help those who need support or are in vulnerable situations. The activities alleviate acute deprivation, provide basic needs and thus essential support. In addition, they can strengthen community cohesion and encourage people to show empathy and solidarity. Our joint charity activities also preceded the founding of Vita melior. As time passed, the question of quantification became necessary, so we started counting, and the Support 100 Families programme was born. It is our minimum annual commitment. Supporting incontinent people in Ukraine is important because these individuals often face many difficulties and challenges that probably do not need to be detailed to anyone. Providing them with appropriate care and assistance allows them to maintain their basic humana dignity.

Supporting families who care for their loved ones continues with imported material in 2025.
Humanitarian activities and charitable aid in Ukraine are organized together with the informal group "God's Grace". Lying grandmother, grandfather, or lying mentally or physically handicapped loved ones are always cared for by someone and our joint help is mainly addressed to the caregivers. We distribute incontinence aids for the bedridden elderly and physically and mentally disabled clients mainly in rural areas and also for some stationary social services in the region of Subcarpathian Ukraine.

If you like the evolving work of our organization, you have a unique opportunity to support our work beyond the thematic campaigns. Institutional support brings the opportunity to develop programs and projects. We fulfil our public commitment in the sub-areas of assistance, especially to individuals who are not in need. It is no secret that changes for the better usually cannot be made quickly.

We have expanded our education, provide intracultural and pastoral counseling, and are working diligently to further develop the organization
