The League of Human Rights is a non-profit organization with more than 20 years of tradition. We draw attention to violations of human rights and freedoms. We strive to change legislation and institutional practices. We help, educate, advise, and are here for everyone. Follow us #CloserToJustice!
What are our topics?
🔵 We are intensively involved in respect for rights in healthcare, the rights of people with disabilities, and the rights of children and entire families.
🔵 We also represent strategic cases involving obstetric violence.
🔵 We helped push through a law on compensation for illegal sterilizations. Since then, we have been helping more than 150 women assert their rights, obtain compensation, and achieve satisfaction. We provide them with our legal services and expertise and cooperate with social services.
🔵 We operate a free legal advice center, which answered 300 inquiries in 2025 alone.

Where are we active?
We enforce abiding to human rights to improve the quality and dignity of life on systematic level. That’s backed by research, education (we teach healthcare workers, organize debates and workshops, and engage students), managing strategic legal cases and presenting our arguments and solutions. We propose and comment on changes to laws. We write shadow reports for international bodies, such as the Rule of Law Report.
Our services also include Centrum pro oběti porodnického násilí and Centrum pro oběti nedobrovolné sterilizace.
Our focus is also on providing information about obstetric violence through our project Už dost!
We propose and prompt the change of laws. Part of our duty is also communicating with international organizations. We are members of:
- Committee against torture and other inhuman, cruel, degrading treatment and punishment
- Committee for rights of child of the government council of Czech Republic for Human rights
- Obstetrics working group of the government of Czech Republic
- International network of Civil Liberties Union for Europe
Join us and help others be #CloserToJustice. It makes sense not to be indifferent!
The path to achieving our goals is not easy; it is often long and difficult. It is therefore important to remember that changing the system and its practices will not happen overnight. And that we cannot do it alone. Help us strengthen our independence from grant funding. Donate to the League of Human Rights. Thank you 💙
We stand by you.
Thank you for your support, it is highly valued!
