This brigade is one of the newer formations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, created in response to the transformation of the war, which is no longer a local conflict, but an exhausting clash of high intensity. From the original smaller units that were deployed as needed, a full-fledged heavy mechanized brigade was created. The word “heavy” here is not a formal designation, it means the ability to bear the brunt of the fighting, operate with armored vehicles and be deployed where the decision is made.
 
And that is exactly where this unit is located.

The fundamental change in this war is the role of technology. What was an accessory a few years ago is now a key factor in survival.

Drones with thermal imaging can detect movement at night, when the human eye fails. They allow you to react in time, avoid an attack, or, conversely, pinpoint a threat. Without them, a soldier moves essentially blindly.

Energy is equally essential. There is no stable infrastructure in front-line conditions. Every device, from walkie-talkies to drones to medical equipment, is dependent on batteries, generators, or portable sources. Once the power runs out, the unit loses its ability to communicate and coordinate.

And then there is medical supplies. In an environment where minutes matter, the right equipment means the difference between life and death. It is not a super-standard. It is a basic condition for survival.

The experience of recent years shows one fundamental thing: help only makes sense if it gets to where it is really needed.

In the case of units like the 29th Brigade, there is no room for delay or unnecessary intermediate links. Every day without equipment means a higher risk. Every delay can have concrete consequences.

Therefore, the goal of this collection is to ensure direct support, to deliver specific equipment directly to the unit that will use it in the field. This is not about abstract help, but about concrete things for concrete people.

The war in Ukraine has been going on longer than anyone could have imagined at the beginning. As time goes by, not only the situation on the front changes, but also the ability to maintain it in the long term.

Fatigue, wear and tear on equipment and people, lack of resources, and all of this adds up. And it is at this stage that it becomes crucial who can maintain support and who loses it.

Units like the 29th Mechanized Brigade are not a symbol. They are the reality of this war. They hold positions that must be held. They have a responsibility that cannot be postponed.
