Help Mathias & Tobias save turtles
During their travels, Mathias and Tobias experienced beautiful natural places that were affected by human behaviour, to a larger or lesser extent. They have also visited beaches where baby sea turtles are born. Unfortunately, efforts are necessary for these sea turtles to survive greed and pollution. For their 9th birthday, instead of receiving your beautiful presents, Mathias and Tobias (and we) would like to ask you kindly to consider joining us in supporting a trustworthy organization that delivers these efforts. This is an organization led by a Czech marine biologist helping sea turtles in Indonesia and Sri Lanka. This fundraiser is organized through a platform that we trust and have done several fundraisers in the past.

We protect sea turtles, beautiful creatures that have lived on Earth for more than 110 million years. Today, they are threatened with extinction. With the local organisation Sehabat penyu Loang, we protect several beaches on Lembata Island in Indonesia. These beaches are a major breeding ground for the critically endangered sea turtle species. In 2022, a project to improve sea turtle conservation also began in Sri Lanka. We lead and fund the conservation work. We guard the beaches from poachers, transfer the eggs to a protected part of the beach, release the turtles into the sea as soon as they hatch, teach locals to make souvenirs from alternative materials, teach children about turtles and nature, and also teach English.
