On May 3, I will run the Prague Marathon in support of SANANIM and the Czech Homeless World Cup 2026 team.

Addiction is not a choice – it is a medical condition that many people struggle with silently and without support. In doing so, I want to help change the way we think about it, how we talk about it, and how we react to it.

Every step I take is for awareness, dignity and second chances. Your support helps make all of this a reality. 🧡

This run is very personal to me.

When I was growing up, my mom struggled with addiction. I didn't understand it then. Like many people, I perceived it through stigma, misunderstanding and silence. There was a lack of awareness, support, and available help.

It wasn't until later that I understood that addiction is not a failure or a lack of willpower—it's a real medical and psychological illness. Still, many people still go through this alone, without understanding and support.

That's why I want to change it.

With this campaign, I support SANANIM and their work with people facing addiction and social exclusion, including the preparation of the Czech team for the Homeless World Cup 2026. Their work not only brings people treatment, but also dignity, structure and a second chance.

No one should fight alone.

If this run helps even a little bit—raise awareness, reduce stigma, or support someone on the road to recovery—then every step is worth it.
SANANIM
Football can change lives. For SANANIM’s clients, the Homeless World Cup is more than just a tournament – it’s a chance to stand on their own feet, find motivation for sobriety, and discover that they too can be part of something big. In 2026, the Czech team is heading to Mexico. Help us get our players to HWC 2026 and give them the opportunity of a lifetime.
The Homeless World Cup is not only about football. It’s a project that breaks down barriers through sport, gives people a second chance, and shows that there’s always a way forward — even from very difficult life situations.
In 2025, our team in Oslo showed incredible determination – players who met for the first time at the airport went on to win second place in the Othilie Tonning Cup. Their stories speak for themselves: first flight, first time seeing the sea, first major success in life. And most importantly, renewed motivation to continue treatment and stay sober.

Honza, one of the Czech team players, described his experience from the 2025 Oslo tournament like this:
“Overall, I’d say it was the best experience of my life. And I’d like to add how great it was that someone like me – a former junkie, and not even a real football player – got this chance. For me, this whole event is a huge motivation to live a normal life… I’m really grateful to the entire SANANIM team.”

Goalkeeper Lukáš adds:
“At the tournament, I met people from all over the world and listened to their stories. When I heard how much harder their situations were, and that they still managed to turn things around, it convinced me even more to stay sober.”

In 2026, the Czech team will travel to Mexico. Help us make sure the players can prepare, travel, and proudly represent the Czech Republic. Every contribution helps turn dreams into reality – and transforms the football pitch into a path back to life.
