Two years ago, together we raised over 4000 EUR. This year, I’m returning to winter Alaska.
Back on the bike. Back into the cold. Back with the goal of helping.
500 winter kilometers across Alaska by bike is not just a sporting challenge or a race. It’s several days in the cold, the wind, and the silence. Temperatures far below zero. Sleeping on snow. Every single kilometer has to be earned.
It’s a voluntary decision to step outside of comfort.
But there are people who did not choose their situation.
That is why I am once again connecting this race with support for DOMESTICI
Over the past two years, awareness of palliative care in the Czech Republic has grown significantly. That even in the most difficult moments, there can be expertise, calm, and humanity. That families do not have to be left alone.
What is my plan to help?
The route is over 500 km. For every kilometer I ride, I will donate 0.4 EUR
That means the journey alone will generate more than 200 EUR.
And what can your strategy of support be?
1️⃣ Donate 40 EUR CZK Tomáš and Domestici will thank you.
2️⃣ Donate 80 EUR and share the challenge in your community I will send you a signed photo from the race with a personal thank-you message.
3️⃣ Donate 200 EUR or more + share the challenge In addition to the photo and thank-you, I will add a personal meeting — an Alaska story over dinner, coffee, or during a shared bike ride.

Domestici.cz connects sport, solidarity, and support for palliative care in the Czech Republic.
We bring together active people who care about how our loved ones live — and how they leave this world. Together, we help ensure that the end of life can be calm, dignified, and spent close to those who matter most.
Why is palliative care important?
Palliative care helps people with incurable illnesses live quality lives until the very end — without unnecessary pain, in safety, and with support provided not only to them, but also to their loved ones.
In the Czech Republic, approximately 70,000 people need palliative care today.
Yet 40% of people don’t even know what palliative care means.
We believe that no one should be left alone, in pain, or in fear at the end of life.
What do we do as Domestici.cz?
We are building a community of people who speak openly and respectfully about palliative care — and who actively support it.
We organize awareness-raising events.
We connect people through challenges and personal stories.
We provide financial support to hospices and organizations that develop palliative care across the Czech Republic.
The project was born out of the founder Martin Souček’s passion for ultra-cycling. In 2024, he linked his participation in the Race Across America with support for palliative care. And around this idea, a community of “Domestiques” gradually grew — a community of people who help others.
How exactly will your donations help?
All funds raised will be distributed among outstanding organizations that are advancing palliative care in the Czech Republic, specifically:
The Forum of Mobile Hospices, helping make palliative care more accessible
The Center for Palliative Care, which provides education and awareness for healthcare professionals across the system as well as for the public
