100 reconnaissance drones for Ukraine. Let's show that the Czechs are not abandoning their allies.

DJI Mavic reconnaissance and observation drones with thermal imaging are used to monitor the movements of enemy units and to better protect Ukrainian fighters on the front line. The current commercial price of this type of drone is 135 thousand CZK. Since Saturday, March 1, we have approached a wide range of European suppliers and have reached a purchase price for 1 drone of 95 thousand CZK, incl. transportation to the destination. By the summer, we plan to deliver 100 units to our permanent partners: the Special Forces of Ukraine, the 3rd Assault Brigade, the 81st Airborne Brigade, the 35th Marine Brigade and other elite units that bear the brunt of the fighting.
Who else but us Czechs should understand how a country that the powerful decided to sacrifice to the wolves feels? In 1938, the European powers abandoned and betrayed Czechoslovakia in their desire to stop the aggressor with territorial concessions. The Munich Agreement left a black mark on the good name of the powers of the time, who trampled on their treaty obligations. But we all also know that it only encouraged the aggressor to further attacks and thereby helped unleash a global war conflict.
It is sad that some world leaders fail to learn from history. Either they do not know history or they simply do not care. We Czechs know best that concessions to a dictator do not pay off. In the Memory of the Nation, we see that our supporters think the same way – since the moment President Zelensky and the Ukrainian delegation left the Oval Office, you have sent 3.8 million CZK to the Ukrainian collection.
In light of the US administration's suspension of aid to Ukraine, we call on European governments to redouble our support. In the meantime, please support our fundraising drive for 100 thermal imaging reconnaissance drones that will save more lives. Ukrainian frontline forces are now the main thing standing between us and Russia.

POST BELLUM
After watching today's meeting in the Oval Office, we decided that with your additional financial donations, we will purchase DJI Mavic observation drones with thermal imaging and donate them to elite military forces of Ukraine. Слава Україні.
Ukraine is bleeding. We do not want to just passively watch the injustice and aggression our friends face because they choose to share the values of freedom and democracy with us. For almost three years now, we have been buying protective and medical equipment and taking it to Ukraine as quickly as possible and where it is most needed. Vests and helmets from us are used by defenders on the front line, many tons of medical equipment save lives. We have supplied fire and ambulance vehicles, drones or optical equipment.
The important things do not change with the times. Whether it’s the stories from the times we ourselves faced war and totalitarianism or the ones happening right now just a few hundred kilometres away from us, they are connected by the longing for freedom, safety, and one’s home. Our own experience with war and totalitarianism in the 20th century makes us obligated to help others.
In 2019, the non-profit organisation Post Bellum set up an office in Lviv with the goal of filming the witness accounts for the Paměť národa archive. Our colleagues in Ukraine recorded dozens of stories mostly from survivors of Stalinist repressions, dissidents, and political prisoners. After the outbreak of the war, they asked for our help. We could not decline. Thanks to your support, we have supplied the defenders of Ukraine with thousands of bulletproof vests and helmets, tonnes of medical equipment and optical devices as well as fully equipped ambulances and fire trucks. Dozens of human lives have verifiably been saved thanks to this. All the aid provided has been non-lethal in nature.
All materials needed have been consulted with experts from the Army of the Czech Republic. The recipients of our aid are predominantly frontline fighters, members of special forces units. The assistance is implemented through the Embassy of Ukraine in the Czech Republic. Representatives of the Czech Embassy in Kyiv then oversee the correct use and distribution of the material to those in need.
In cooperation with the Donio portal and, above all, six thousand generous donors, we managed to collect funds for equipment of two field hospitals that play a vital role in saving the lives of wounded soldiers. We have been delivering the material on an ongoing basis and the vast majority are already serving in hospitals. The remaining material will be delivered by the end of the year.
Together with the general public, we remind ourselves that the war in Ukraine is still on and that we must not be indifferent. On February 23, 2025, together with the organizations People in Need, Million Moments for democracy and the European Congress of Ukrainians we organized a rally for the 3rd anniversary of the war. The President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, also spoke at the Old Town Square.
On the evening of August 20, 2024, together with the NGO´s mentioned above, we organized a commemorative event called "Go home, Ivan" in Boris Němcov's park. We remembered the time when we, Czechia, faced Soviet aggression too.
