Our sanctuary came into being a bit by accident, thanks to a group of wandering sheep from Prague’s Tiché údolí.

They had escaped from a flock that was taken to slaughter the following day, quite literally saving their own lives.

We found them a wonderful place where they could spend the rest of their lives in peace. Before long, a few more wandering sheep joined them, along with two cows in search of a safe home, a goat, two dogs, and, naturally, a handful of cats who simply decided we belonged to them.🙂

Caring for this sanctuary is a lifelong commitment for us, and your support helps keep everything running without the constant worry of what the future may bring.
In return, we offer a place to slow down and reconnect. Our animals live free from any pressure to perform or be productive, and we never force interactions. Most of the sheep prefer to keep their distance from strangers, the cows naturally command a bit of respect, and the goat only comes over when she's in the mood.

But if you'd like to be part of their gradual journey toward trusting people again, we'd be happy to welcome you by arrangement. You can simply sit and quietly observe their world, or clear your mind with some honest physical work... perhaps even helping collect a few 💩 along the way. 🙂

The sale of our home-grown vegetable boxes and produce from our self-service farm fridge helps cover some of the costs, but your support remains essential.
It helps provide hay for the entire year (due to this year's drought, we've had to feed our animals year-round for the first time, which has significantly increased expenses), as well as bedding straw, regular veterinary care, and repairs to parts of the fencing.

And if there's anything left over, the cow girls have already been promised a new floor in front of their feeding area. 🙂

Everything else, we piece together from local resources, donated pallets, and whatever practical solutions we can find along the way.
