We are Reachout Youth, a Christian, non-denominational nonprofit organization registered with the Ministry of Justice in 2023. We are based in Šumperk. Since our founding, we have been organizing a wide variety of seminars, weekend retreats, and worship evenings—and not just for young people. In the coming period, however, we want to take our work to the next level.
Our desire is to share the good news of the Gospel with others. However, the method that resonates most with us is creating content online on social media and streaming platforms. This is because it’s a space that has the widest reach, yet at the same time doesn’t intrude on others’ personal space. People abroad understand this well and create a wide variety of podcasts, videos, and other content, but in the Czech context, this field is still largely untapped.
Here are the projects that inspire us the most:
The Way UK — a channel active on just about every platform, from YouTube to TikTok and Instagram to Spotify. They create short clips that encourage reflection on life’s questions, as well as Bible studies, interviews, and worship videos.
Streams Studios — a channel that creates short videos where people share both happy and painful moments from their lives and how they see God at work in those situations.
In order for us to start creating similar content that changes people’s lives, we need a studio and the equipment that will allow us to produce work of a quality we can be proud of.
We’re looking for suitable space that can serve as a studio where we can gather for prayer, team-building, brainstorming future projects, and the actual filming and recording. We estimate that the cost for such space will be 400 EUR per month.
We plan to purchase cameras, microphones, lights, and similar hardware needed for audiovisual production. We’ll also need backdrops, furniture, and props to set up scenes for podcasts and other projects. Finally, we’ll need to acquire the necessary post-production software. We estimate that all of this will cost approximately 20.000 EUR. However, we’re keeping our feet on the ground, so in this first round, we’re aiming for 10.000 EUR.
