More than just music for Ukraine: humanitarian aid for hospitals
During the first weekend of July, we’re setting off to perform for wounded soldiers in Ukrainian hospitals. We want to bring them more than 'just' emotional support.
Three Czech performers — the punk-rock band Švindl and folk musicians Ernest Voltr and Petr Mazur—are heading to Ukraine during the first weekend of July.
They will play three concerts: one club show in Lviv, and the following two for wounded soldiers in hospitals in Lysets and Ivano-Frankivsk.
At the same time, we would like to deliver humanitarian aid specifically to these hospitals, including:
Absorbent pads for operating theatres
Electronic muscle stimulators
Plain T-shirts for art therapy
Tires for hospital vehicles
We intend to use the proceeds from this fundraiser to purchase these items.
Thank you for your support!
Who will you be helping?
We will deliver the humanitarian aid to the First Volunteer Surgical Hospital in Lysets and the Regional Clinical Hospital in Ivano-Frankivsk.
What exactly will the funds from this campaign be used for?
The money raised will be used to purchase humanitarian and medical supplies for the Ukrainian hospitals where we will be performing for wounded soldiers.
Who we are
Švindl is a punk-rock band from Litoměřice, active since 2008. They play melodic punk rock in the style of the Ramones, Descendents, or Green Day, addressing both personal and social themes in their Czech lyrics.
Ernest Voltr is a folk-punk singer-songwriter, founder of the Windows for Ukraine initiative, and co-founder of the Czech Volunteer Hub.
Petr Mazur is a folk-blues artist performing with the band Zbytečný luxus.
We are traveling to Ukraine to play these concerts, support people directly affected by the war, and deliver aid right where it is needed most.
