🤝 FriendShip Prague is a non-profit organization run by expat volunteers living in Prague. It provides not only food and other necessities for people experiencing homelessness, but also organizes events and workshops that help our friends on the street feel like a part of society, forget their worries for a while, and enjoy things like a movie afternoon, live music, a barbecue with a picnic, or even learn English.
This winter we are planning: to donate food, warm coffee, and clothing every Saturday at Winstona Churchilla Square. Additionally, we will be making Christmas cards, organizing a Christmas lunch, hosting a film screening at a community center, visiting a shelter with music and a warm meal cooked and baked by our volunteers, distributing Christmas socks with surprises, and similar activities. Every donated crown helps us immensely, as we do not receive any state grants. But also donated winter clothing, shoes, or every new volunteer's helping hand is welcome. All help means a lot to us, and most importantly, to the people we are helping.
