We posted recently about the passing of our sweet Khan 💔 Unfortunately now we need to ask for help to pay the outstanding bills to the vets that tried to save him 😞 One bill is for 12379 and the other for 7395. This is a great amount of money that we could use to save other critters and we ask you kindly to help us pay these debts 🙏 We can't do what we do without you 🙏

Many hearts are broken right now at Cool Critters and we are devastated to lose one of our sweetest kitties, Khan 💔 You came to us at just four weeks old with your four siblings and your Mom Bindi. A little ball of ginger fluff, the calmest and the gentlest. You stayed for many weeks here until you were ready to find a home. We all loved you dearly.
When Berfu and Roman came to find a kitten friend for Toby, we believed you'd found your happy ever after. We never expected you to get sick, you were so full of energy and had such a healthy appetite. Then one day, things were off with you. You went to the vet and many tests were performed. Nothing was found. Days later you were not well again during the middle of the night and you went to the emergency vet. Your sugar levels were wrong and you spent many days there with them trying to stabilize you. They diagnosed you with FIP and started FIP treatment. You were not improving like you should have been so we decided to get a second opinion from our trusted vets. They suspected Pancreas inefficientcy and you were transferred to them immediately. By the time you arrived with them you had pancreatitis and they fought so hard to save you, but sadly it was too late 💔
We wish we'd realised sooner. We will live with this for the rest of our lives. We have to trust what the vets tell us, we are knowledgeable but we are not vets. We are extremely heartbroken that you were not diagnosed earlier.
Roman and Berfu are brokenhearted, Toby is without a friend and everyone at Cool Critters misses you terribly. Thank you to Dr Tereza at Veterina Nusle for everything you tried to do to save this sweet boy. You touched so many people in your short life and we will always remember you 💔
