Children, Youth and Family Help for Ukraine

Let's fix a school in Ukraine!

Already in 2022, two local elementary schools were bombed out and the children haven´t returned to teaching in person since then. Social isolation takes a massive toll on the psychological well-being of the Ukrainian children. It is not our effort to "decorate" the schools. The project is about the reconstruction of the essential infrastructure, which will allow children to return to teaching in person. In cooperation with the organization Dobrobat we are renovating two affected schools, so that they can once again serve as a safe place for education - including a functional shelter, where children can hide during an airstrike. Help us give these children a chance at something that should be taken for granted - a safe place to learn and a full childhood.

This campaign is already closed. Thank you!
Distance learning continues, but some children live in isolated areas, lack the necessary equipment, the signal is weak – leaving them completely isolated. Commuting to other schools is often impossible for them due to broken roads, delays due to air alerts, and high costs.

If the project can be launched on time, children could return to school this fall, after more than 5 years. One of them is at risk of losing its license and closing permanently due to the long-term closure.
War takes a psychological toll on everyone, but especially on children. Many of them who go to school in the Mykolaiv region have fathers at the front and grow up in fear and uncertainty. These are children between the ages of 6 and 16 who need not only an education, but also a sense of security, regularity and a place to be children.

Right now we are in phase 1 -> COLLECTION OF MONEY FOR THE BUILDING MATERIAL
  • Phase 1 - building material
  • Phase 2 - distribution and construction  <-- CURRENTLY ONGOING
  • Phase 3 - every extra crown for the purchase of additional material

This project is so dear to our hearts that we are personally involved in it - members of our team are already on site and helping with the construction work with their own hands. We'll be 100% sure that every window, every tile and every other piece of equipment will serve where it's really needed - for children who have been through more than they should.

What specifically do we need to ensure:

windows - tiles - cement - putty - plaster - penetrating paint - drywall - sand - adhesives - thinners - toilets and cubicles - sinks - partitions - sockets - switches - lighting fixtures - cables - fire racks - medical cabinets - treatment room couches - small construction tools from nails to dowels to painting tools - boards - and much more

Russia's invasion of Ukraine is not only aimed at forcibly occupying its territory, but also systematically seeks to psychologically break its population. As a result of the constant shelling, which extends deep into the interior, schooling throughout Ukraine is seriously disrupted, and schools without shelters cannot function at all. We want to create a space where children can once again learn, share, create, grow and, for a moment, forget that they are living in a war. Join us.

On behalf of all the children, thank you so much.
