Specially-adapted car for little Laura
When Laurinka was two months old, she was diagnosed with SMA (spinal muscular atrophy). The gene therapy Laurinka underwent briefly improved her condition, but after her first birthday she developed her first pneumonia, which significantly reduced the function of her swallowing muscles. She almost did not survive the second one and had to be put on invasive mechanical ventilation. Laurinka is now 3 years old, immobile due to muscle dysfunction, and the progressive disease has advanced to the point where she needs several devices and a special corset to keep her alive. Your donation will be used by the family to purchase a specially adapted car to enable them to travel with Laurinka.
