HOW DO WE HELP PEOPLE AFFECTED BY THE CONFLICT IN UKRAINE?
The war in Ukraine has been going on since February 2022 and we, ADRA Czech Republic, are helping with your support. You have already contributed more than CZK 300 million to the SOS ADRA Ukraine public collection to help the affected people. Thank you!
In the early days of the conflict, the funds raised went primarily to provide material aid at the border, where hundreds of thousands of people fled to safety. Later, we took humanitarian aid deeper into Ukrainian territory. Thanks to our close cooperation with ADRA Ukraine, we were able to respond to the changing humanitarian needs of the affected populations, so we soon began to help with the evacuation of people and the supply of so-called collective accommodation centres, where internally displaced people - people who had left their homes for safer parts of Ukraine - were directed.
We also helped after the Kachov Dam broke. In the immediate aftermath of the disaster, we provided people with humanitarian aid in the form of drinking water, disinfectants and durable food. We have been active in the area for a long time and have focused on, among other things, the restoration of drinking water sources.
After the rocket attack on the Ochmatdyt children's hospital in Kiev, we provided drinking water to those affected, facilities for rescue work, as well as first psychological aid to children, their parents and hospital staff.
In winter, millions of people regularly found themselves without electricity, access to drinking water or the opportunity to heat their homes due to the destruction of infrastructure. We helped with home repairs (windows, doors, insulation, heating) and providedhouseholds and orphanages with generators and direct-fired heaters.
WE ARE HELPING RIGHT NOW
This winter, our support focuses primarily on people living in collective accommodation centres who, due to damaged infrastructure, are struggling with a lack of heat and basic necessities. In the Dnipropetrovsk and Lviv regions, we provide regular food assistance to internally displaced people so they have reliable access to essential food. At the same time, in the Dnipropetrovsk region we support heating in collective centres by supplying solid fuel (e.g., pellets and briquettes), helping people get through the freezing temperatures in dignified conditions.
OUR HELP IN 2026
- In the Dnipropetrovsk region, we ensure access to clean water by installing 4 boreholes, constructing 2 water towers, and setting up 4 water purification systems.
- We provide food support to vulnerable groups in collective centers.
- We provide psychosocial and legal assistance to people affected by the war through mobile teams and online consultations.
- In remote and isolated areas, we provide social transportation, enabling people to access basic social services and local infrastructure.
- We support the heating of collective centers through the purchase and distribution of solid fuels.
Since the beginning of the war, we have helped more than 324,000 people in Ukraine, and together with you we want to continue this help.

OUR JOINT HELP IS STILL NEEDED
