Hostitelská rodina či jednotlivec si pravidelně bere dítě na předem domluvený čas, pár hodin měsíčně, odpoledne nebo víkendový den. Umožňují jim tak zažít něco nového a rodičům dávají vzácnou možnost vydechnout a načerpat síly. Jednoduše a přirozeně propojuje dvě rodiny, které se navzájem mohou obohatit. Finanční podpora půjde mimo jiné na komunitní podporu pečujících rodin, konzultace s odborníky, informační materiály nebo jako příspěvek na relaxační aktivity.

Homesharing is a natural way to support families who care for children and young adults with intellectual disabilities. In this program, a host family or individual regularly welcomes a child into their home for a few hours each month, an afternoon, or even a weekend day. This experience gives the child a chance to try something new, while their parents receive a rare opportunity to relax and recharge.
