CO.LABS is a cultural center that emerged in response to the need for an independent community and creative space in Brno. We support independent artistic creation, connect local and international artists, and create space for experimentation, education, and community gatherings. We provide a platform for creators who lack institutional support, foster new voices in the art scene, and support organizers of social, community, and artistic events.

CO.LABS is a reaction to the closed nature of state-funded cultural institutions and serves as a platform that introduces new ways of collaboration, sharing, and creative support. From the very beginning, we chose to operate differently—without rigid hierarchies, emphasizing interdisciplinarity, engagement, and innovative operational systems. Each year, we organize dozens of cultural events.

🌿We actively promote the representation and support of women in the arts.
🌿We act transparently in all our decisions and operations, maintaining an open dialogue with our partners, community, and the public.
🌿We advocate for fair and dignified working conditions for our team and collaborators.
🌿We strive to minimize our negative environmental impact and promote sustainable practices in all our activities, from space management to event organization.
🌿We fund our activities solely from sources acquired in compliance with democratic, legal, and ethical norms.
🌿Support from public administration bodies (ministries, regional and local governments) must not influence CO.LABS' operations or its principle of independence.
🌿When accepting material and non-material donations, we always emphasize the importance of maintaining our independence.
🌿In online crowdfunding campaigns, which support CO.LABS' activities, we reject donations from individuals whose actions or business practices contradict our values.

We are a meeting and sharing space built on values of openness, collaboration, sustainability, and fairness.

2024 was a milestone year for us. We launched a renovation project to create a modern, more accessible, and sustainable space for cultural activities in Brno. At the same time, we continued to organize dozens of cultural events, support young creators, and strengthen our international collaboration network.
