Dear colleagues,

 

In recent days, the whole Czech Republic has been following the situation in the areas affected by the floods. The situation in these areas matters to us as well, which is why BILLA is helping through its partners and will continue to do so.

 

BILLA will help directly to our colleagues who have been flooded by making an immediate financial contribution to repair the damage, while also providing them with several days of paid leave. In addition to the funding, we are also working on other forms of aid, such as providing dryers or other equipment and materials to help with the repairs. BILLA Czech Republic will also double all the funds raised in this collection.

 

We already know of at least 15 colleagues who have lost their homes or parts of their homes and will need significant aid to rebuild. Some of them are experiencing problems with electricity, drying out their homes, or have lost items essential for everyday living. Others still have their homes under water.

 

Because the effects of the floods are in some cases truly devastating, we have decided to organize a fundraising campaign under the BILLA brand, which you can now join. The collection is organized through the VIA Foundation and will run until mid-October (October 18th, 2024). Every crown/euro raised will go directly to our employees who ask for help.

 

We therefore ask all of you who want to participate in the collection to help your colleagues in this difficult situation and help them return to normal life as quickly as possible.
