366 km on a bike. Two stages. Three countries. Three PwC offices. And one shared goal – to challenge ourselves and help where it truly matters. "Riding to get them riding".
This sporting challenge is not just about the kilometres we clock up, but above all about helping children who cannot enjoy cycling as easily as we can. The proceeds of the event will go to the non-profit organisation Černí koně (Black horses), which manufactures special bicycles for children with physical disabilities, giving them the opportunity to move independently – and with it, a sense of freedom.
Who will we help? Since 2008, Černí koně has been handcrafting special handbikes and providing them to children free of charge. With CZK 100,000, it will be possible to produce two bicycles for two children – Matěj and Daniel. Anyone can contribute even without getting on a bike.
Matěj’s story
Matěj is 4 years old and loves cars and anything with wheels more than anything else. Although his diagnosis – quadriplegic cerebral palsy – slows him down in life, his desire to explore the world is unstoppable.
His journey began long before he was born. A few days before delivery, he experienced a fetomaternal transfusion for unknown reasons, which caused him to almost bleed out in his mother’s body. Although everything seemed to be going well, he was deprived of oxygen during critical moments. As a result, his brain was damaged, leading to cerebral palsy affecting all four limbs.
Despite this, Matěj is gradually developing and continues to love everything on wheels. His greatest passion is cars and being outdoors. At the moment, his companion is a standard balance bike. With great effort, he manages short distances and bravely overcomes the challenges he faces.
However, due to his neurological condition, he is unable to maintain balance, which makes a regular bicycle unsafe and difficult for him to control.
That is why we would like to provide him with a specially adapted bike that combines rehabilitation with fun and will allow him to continue his development safely.
Daniel’s story
Daniel was born in the 26th week of pregnancy, weighing just 900 grams. Shortly after birth, doctors diagnosed him with a congenital oesophageal defect, and due to his condition, the surgery was highly risky. Although the procedure itself was successful, the following complications – brain hemorrhage, sepsis, and the development of hydrocephalus – significantly affected his further development.
Daniel spent the first six months of his life in hospital and underwent a total of eight surgeries, six of them on his brain.
Today, Daniel is over two years old, but his psychomotor development corresponds to that of a few-month-old infant. He is living with cerebral palsy, spastic quadriplegia, epilepsy, and visual impairment. He also has weakened core muscles and scoliosis. He is supported by special aids, orthoses, and regular therapy.
Despite everything, Daniel is a cheerful and sociable little boy with incredible inner strength. We would like to support him on his journey by providing a specially adapted bicycle, which will give him more opportunities for movement and bring him more joy in everyday life.

S výrobou speciálních kol pro děti s handicapem jsme začali v garáži rodinného domu a k dnešnímu dni jsme zdarma předali téměř 200 těchto kol.
Pomáháme dětem s handicapem k samostatnému pohybu prostřednictvím speciálních kol. Běžní výrobci kompenzačních pomůcek pro děti s tělesným postižením speciální jízdní kola nevyrábí, a tak jsme se rozhodli, že tuto situaci změníme. Jako nezisková organizace jsme se, zcela proti doposud zažitému, sami vrhli po hlavě do výroby těchto speciálů.
Dětem s pohybovým omezením i jejich rodinám tak zcela měníme život. Pohyb dětem přináší nejen radost, ale rozvíjí jejich fyzické dovednosti a posiluje psychickou kondici.
