Malá Strana & Castle Tour benefitting NADĚJE
If you’re looking for a way to get in the holiday spirit, meet others, and give back this holiday season, we’d like to invite you for a charity tour of Charles Bridge, Malá Strana, and Prague Castle. We’ll learn the about mysterious alchemists, a defenestration (or two), a possible love affair between a queen and clergy, what Charles IV’s facial hair was hiding, and why Rudolph II is one of our top answers to the question “if you could have dinner with any historical person, who would it be?”
We’re partnering with Czech NGO NADĚJE and their project "Darujte Nohy v Teple" (Donate Warm Feet) to raise donations in the form of money but also warm hats, scarves, gloves, and thermals so that Prague’s homeless community can stay warm and protected this winter. 100% of the proceeds and items collected from this tour will go to help the homeless in Prague stay warm this winter.
4 WAYS TO CONTRIBUTE
- you can donate money to us which will be spent on specific items Nadeje has requested (photos will be taken of all donations for maximum transparency)
- you can buy warm hats, scarves, gloves/mittens, thermals, socks etc (especially in men’s adult sizes) and bring them on the tour (we’ll carry them in our backpacks so you don’t have to carry them for the whole tour)
- you can donate hats, scarves, gloves/mittens, thermals, socks etc (they must be in good condition: clean or washed, no holes, etc)
- you can donate directly to NADĚJE

- Ending point: Christmas Market by St.Vitus Cathedral at the Castle
- Duration: 2.5h
- Distance: The total walking distance is roughly 2km (1.3 miles) and there will be an opportunity for a break for water/coffee/beer/toilet
- Cost: this is a donation-based, charity tour. There is no minimum donation.
- Attire: We’ll be outside for 90% of the tour so make sure you are wearing warm clothes (after all that is the whole point of this tour). The castle area tends to be a bit colder and a bit windier than the rest of Prague. We recommend thick socks (or two pairs of thinner socks), boots (if you have them), and multiple layers. Bring along a thermos of hot tea, or coffee. Or hot wine or grog, we won't tell

Jsme pražská NADĚJE a pomáháme lidem bez domova žít důstojnější a bezpečnější život.
Každý den podpoříme 482 lidí bez domova, denně ubytujeme 220 osob a ošetříme 24 pacientů v ordinacích.

Jak pomoc probíhá? Díky vašemu příspěvku můžeme nakoupit teplé oblečení a boty, které naši pracovníci přímo v terénu a denních centrech předají potřebným lidem bez domova.
Naším cílem je získat minimálně 220.000 Kč a zajistit alespoň 100 lidem bez domova komplet výbavu na zimu. Během posledních čtyř let jsme díky úspěchu projektu Darujte nohy v teple předali boty a oblečení za 829.092 Kč.
