We set off on a journey through Europe to broaden our horizons and show our five-year-old daughter that home is not just our apartment, but the beautiful planet Earth. We have traveled through landscapes that suffer from heat, fires and drought, and we care about it. The cause is unsustainable land management and the plundering of natural resources. This makes us all the more aware of the meaningfulness networks such as KPZkoALICE, which strengthens local communities and organic farmers. Unfortunately, KPZkoALICE has also run dry of resources this year. To continue its mission, it needs support. We believe in it and that's why we are putting our creative energy and time into this challenge. During August, we will send 21 Little Joys into the world. KPZkoALICE needs support
13 years ago, the first community with a handful of consumers and one farmer started the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) movement in the Czech Republic, connecting eaters directly with organic farmers. We were also excited by the idea, became die-hard CSA fans and Šárka co-created a network of food communities - KPZkoALICE.
"I thought I would put CSAs out of my mind on our trip. I thought I would "take a break" from them and maybe find another important topic. Honestly, I couldn't do it. I am even more aware of the power food has in shaping the world and ourselves." Šárka
KPZkoALICE has done a lot of work and has even more to do. However, KPZkoALICE has run out of resources this year. It has not been able to get enough support from international and national institutions and so the experienced team, the heart of KPZkoALICE, is in danger of falling apart. Despite this fact the heart is not giving up and wants to continue to support existing communities, their leaders, farmers and CSA newcomers. To resume regular webinars from September, organise community meetings and workshops, engage in consultancy and embark on the creation of a new website in Autumn.

Thanks to KPZkoALICE, 80 more communities have been created, connecting 5000 eaters, enthusiasts like us, with three dozen organic farmers in the Czech republic. KPZkoALICE has taken as its goal to actively connect communities, map their stories and experiences, educate, preserve and openly share know-how. To engage more people in CSA, who will be more sensitive to the use of natural and human resources. KPZkoALICE's vision is to one day have a community and a farmer in "every village".
"We had no idea how much CSA would change our lives in the best sense of the word. From passive consumers, we have become co-creators of the food system. We began to see the bigger picture and began to change our habits. We began to believe that a more beautiful world is possible and that we can contribute to it. The CSA principles became our compass in life: trust, mutual support and partnership, solidarity, agroecology. At KPZkoALICE we see a deep meaning and we want to contribute ourselves so that its heart can continue to beat. 21 Small Joys for KPZkoALICE
Every fundraising challenge requires a challenge for the initiator. Ours is to send 21 small joys into the world within three weeks. To tell 21 travel stories in words and pictures. One story each day that delights, caresses, amuses, moves or inspires. We hope it will motivate people to embark on their own journey of (self)discovery.
And why 21? The challenge will conclude with the last story on August 21. That was the day our daughter came into the world. Our greatest joy and love. Every day we wonder, what kind of world will she live in? How to prepare her for it? We believe that it is in local communities, in cooperation, in kindness and mutual care, that the key to the challenges of the 21st century is hidden.

KPZkoALICE is a support for the farmers and leaders of local food communities who need partners and want to share experiences.

Connect existing food communities and farmers to work together and actively support the creation of new ones.
Provide personal guidance and mentoring for those who are coordinating a food community or who want to start one.
Organize monthly meetings, webinars, seminars and lectures.
Host a once-a-year national gathering of supporters of living agriculture.
Create educational programs and materials.
Build the online platform kpzinfo.cz as a signpost to information resources and people.
Manage a Map of Farmers database where farmers and consumers can connect.
Be active in the international URGENCI network and bring innovations from abroad.
To create an e-newsletter and report on what is sprouting in the network.
