St. Martin, World Scout Jamboree and Jesus' grandchildren
My patrol (I am down on the right)
Me and my jamboree patrol
Hi,
my name is Martin, and I am a fourteen-year-old kid in my puberty, as my parents tell me. But mainly I'm a scout from my early age. And I'm proud of it and I enjoy it. Like many guys at my age, I enjoy computer games. But I can leave them and go to nature not only with scouts. I like to go to scout camps, and though it's incomprehensible for some of my friends, I'm there for 3 weeks without wi-fi and computers :-). I'm helping to build a camp, we sleep in tents, we have patrols, we cook on stoves, wash in the cold river, manually produce something, learn new things that can save lives, help each other and play camp game in any weather that some of my friends did not give up at all. And I like it. I have a good partition, it's the 148th section of the Rys.
Next year I have the opportunity to participate in the Jamboree Worldwide, held in the USA (https://www.2019wsj.org/). It's a meeting with scouts from around the world. The ability to get an idea of how to live elsewhere, find new friends, practice English, and experience adventures in joint events. I'm looking forward to it, but I know it's a costly affair. My parents support me, although it is an intervention in their budget. Especially for mom who is disabled after spinal cord injury. Fortunately, she did not end up on the wheelchair, but she can not work hard, only occasionally. Then I can still see her resting, hurting her back, and sometimes taking her pills. But she says when the pain is really great, otherwise it would be long ago dependent. And she's optimistic, she's taking it as it is. And even if she has only a small disability pension, he regularly gives some money to charity because she says people are worse off. I admire her.
That's why I would like to help parents out of the Jamboree costs and set up this challenge.
My patron St. Martin split his cloak with a beggar. I would like to share my pocketbook with some senior I would be happy to do. I would like to attend the project of Jesus' grandchildren and I will send a gift to a selected senior person according to his wishes. I have my own grandmother who is 84 years old and I know her life was not easy. As a child experienced a war, then socialism, and when she is old, she can not do many things. I like to talk to her and I teach her to work with a computer and play some light games. My grandmother is in.
I also went with my mom to visit our neighbor who had no family. We helped him with everything, and he was very happy. Unfortunately, he has already died.
Sometimes it's sad that the old people stay alone, and more so if they are not visit from their own children or grandchildren. Occasionally, a stranger can help them more, at least a kind word or trifle. And I want to be part of it.
Please support my challenge and make me happy and my parents. I want to make happy old people with another way.
Thank you very much. Martin

Jamboree je největší celosvětová skautská akce. Do Ameriky míří až 50 tisíc lidí z více než 200 zemí světa.
Zažijeme věci, na které nikdy nezapomeneme, potkáme skauty z celého světa, poznáme nové kultury a získáme novou inspiraci a nový elán do celoroční a třeba i celoživotní skautské činnosti, do vychovávání sebevědomých a samostatných mladých lidí.
Z Česka pojede největší novodobá výprava: 5 stovek účastníků. 9 jamoddílů. Jedním z nich je i ten náš - pražský jamoddíl Josefa Přibyla. 36 nadšených kluků a holek od 14 do 17 let a 4 dospělí zodpovědní vedoucí. Cestu na Jamboree jsme si všichni vysnili a chceme jet co nejlépe připravení a co nejlépe reprezentovat Českou republiku, český skauting a Junáka - českého skauta.
Krom nadšení a píle se nám do finiše bude velmi hodit i jakýkoli váš finanční příspěvek. Účastnický poplatek za takovouto akci, doprava na ni a další náklady dohromady dávají velmi úctyhodnou sumu, kterou nikdo z nás nenosí po kapsách. Předem děkujeme všem podporovatelům za přiblížení velkého snu!
