SOS ADRA EARTHQUAKE ASIA

On March 28, 2025, a powerful earthquake measuring 7.7 on the Richter scale struck Thailand and Myanmar. The earthquake will likely cause more than 10,000 deaths. Hundreds of thousands of people will need urgent humanitarian assistance and subsequently help reconstructing their homes and infrastructure.

SOS ADRA EARTHQUAKE ASIA - THE COLLECTION IS CLOSED

Thank you very much for helping us. Together we managed to collect over 650,000 CZK. Thanks to this amount, we helped more than seven thousand people with water and food, hygiene and disinfectant supplies, first aid supplies, or finding a temporary home or repairing an existing one. The collection is now closed, thank you very much again!

The earthquake was also felt in other countries such as China, India, Laos and Bangladesh.

Immediately after the earthquake, ADRA began monitoring the local situation and coordinating aid. Given the significant extent of damage in Myanmar, branches of the international organization ADRA are being invited to help. ADRA has already mobilized an emergency team that is assessing the situation on the ground and initiating the necessary measures and aid.

ADRA Czech Republic has been helping in Myanmar and Thailand according to current humanitarian needs for several years, so we cannot remain indifferent to the situation.

We are participating in helping the people there with immediate financial assistance. From the regular donation program Mince, we are releasing CZK 100,000 per day for aid in Southeast Asia.
