Be Part of a Change That Starts With Understanding
The average age at which a child first encounters pornography is 11 years old.
Often, they come across it by accident – or a friend shows it to them. And it’s not uncommon for them to return to it on their own, out of boredom or curiosity.
But children are usually unaware of the consequences that watching pornography can have. Unlike alcohol or drugs, its risks are rarely discussed.
So many only realize the impact far too late.
“I didn’t learn about the effects of pornography until I was thirty,” says Jirka, our prevention program educator.
Pornography today is just a few clicks away – 85% of children have unlimited access to it on their phones.
The number of children becoming dependent on it is growing – affecting their relationships, self-esteem, and understanding of healthy sexuality. And we’re working to change that.
Since 2023, we’ve been running prevention programs in elementary schools across the Czech Republic.
These workshops are open, discussion-based, and approach the topic with sensitivity and respect – breaking the silence around an issue that’s still taboo. But we can only continue thanks to your support.
Your donation helps us to:
- develop and support our educators,
- expand education for children, parents, and teachers,
- create new prevention programs for high schools,
- and improve our current programs for elementary schools.
“Children shouldn’t have to wait as long as I did to get this information,” adds Jirka.
Together, we can give children access to information they might otherwise never receive. We want to be ready for the next school year. Help us bring these crucial messages to children – before it’s too late.
