SANANIM, z.ú. is the largest, oldest and most successful organization in the Czech Republic, which deals with the prevention, care and treatment of drug and other addictions, with an average treatment success rate of 50 – 70% depending on the type and length of the treatment program. 

In all its treatments and social programs, SANANIM strives to engage its clients in the normal, ordinary life that most of us live. Ordinary life stands – like any good stable chair or table – on 4 legs. The four legs of stability of ordinary life are: home, work, relationships (with oneself, with others, with the outside world) and leisure. 

We already know from our experience and everyday practice that clients who are sufficiently motivated to learn and practice work skills and who are able to spend their free time meaningfully and healthily can manage their recovery successfully. Yet, occupational rehabilitation and leisure as part of treatment and therapy are programs for which SANANIM must raise funds from its own resources and fundraising. 

We would like to use the SANANIM Gala 2022 fundraiser proceeds to strengthen the stability of two of the four legs of healthy lifestyle of our clients – for occupational rehabilitation and for leisure. In this way SANANIM will raise funds  which can be immediately invested in the further development of the above programs and thus ensure their sustainability.  It is therefore an enormous help, since ordinary subsidies from the state do not allow such investments.
