Can we use the offered online payment methods for sale of our t-shirts, bags, books, etc.?

Unfortunately, you cannot if it is a “regular sale” (i.e. not a public collection through selling items). Online payment methods are provided by the partners of Darujme.cz under favourable conditions and exclusively for the purposes of providing donations for charitable projects.

Costs of registration and use of the service

Darujme.cz is an independent noncommercial project operated by NGOs for NGOs. In order to maintain a regular operation of the service, NGOs are charged with the following fee:

– Transaction fee of 2 % from each donation.

The fee enable our independence, scalability and effectivity. It serves to cover necessary costs, operation of the portal, processing donations and provision of ordinary support to all target groups. The fees include all bank, card payment and other similar processing fees.

Our pricing.

The Annual fee and the Registration fee are charged after the first month of using the service. During the first month (after your account is activated), you can try out the service and assess whether it meets your needs. If you are not satisfied with the service, your account is disactivated after a month and both the Annual fee and the Registration fee are not charged – the contract expires. If you decide to use the service, we will send you an invoice for the charges stated above.

The Transaction fee of 2 % from each donation is used for the coverage of costs associated with giving procedures and related actions (bank charges, recording, transfer to the recipient – relevant NGO, etc.).

What to think about before you register

We have no experience with fundraising from individual donors yet. Can we use Darujme.cz?

Indeed, but bear in mind that every beginning is hard. Darujme.cz can help you with your first steps, however you then need start walking on your own.

We are already receiving support from individual donors but we have never made experiments with online fundraising. Is Darujme.cz for us?

Yes, it is and it can surely help you to expand the numbers of your donors because you will be able to offer them more “channels” through which they can support you and your activies.

We are a NGO that wants to develop individual giving but we do not have enough available resources we could invest into a further development of our fundraising capacities. Can Darujme.cz help us?

Using Darujme.cz will essentially make the implementation of online payment methods easier and cheaper for you. No tool or portal can entirely solve it for you, neither the ours – but there is a high probability that it can help you.

We have no time for fundraising activities. Can using Darujme.cz solve this problem for us?

Definitely not. Darujme.cz won´t bring you new donors, unless you actively address them. Everything starts with a request – even in online fundraising! Darujme.cz is primarily a safe and credible technical environment where donors can give donations just to you. Attracting, acquiring and retaining donors is, however, upon you and your activities. Darujme.cz can help you, but doesn´t do it for you.

Our organization has no fundraiser. Can we use Darujme.cz?

Yes, you can, but bear in mind that Darujme.cz does not do your job, it only makes it easier for you.

We are a purely volunteer organization. Can we use Darujme.cz?

You can, if you find the time neccesary for starting online fundraising campaigns and your organization meets all transparency requirements.

Are we obliged to register a public collection in order to use Darujme.cz?

The collection is not required, because it depends on the way you use the tool. Likewise any donation your organization receives, it is not required to be granted to you by your donors under public collections. You however must be able to issue a Donation Receipt to every non-anonymous donor donating through Darujme.cz and possibly conclude a donation agreement, if requested. We support direct giving from specific persons so every donation for your organization must be properly recorded and accounted for.

Processing donations

Donors assign donation and enter their details into a donation form to which they are linked, for example, through a donation widget on the NGO´s websites, a campaign page of NGO, a direct link in e-mail, etc. Or they assign donation through a donation form of the relevant NGO. Donors are then refered to the appropriate page according to the selected payment method in order to complete the donation (card center, online banking or a website with instructions for a payment order).

The funds are for all payment methods accepted at the bank account of Darujme.cz, account number 2198370339/0800, owned by Via Foundation and subject to regular financial audit. Each incoming donation is assigned to the target organization. If a recipent of the donation can not be identified, the money is returned to the account from which they were received.

Cumulative donations are sent at regular, usually weekly doses to the designated accounts of NGOs operating reduced by the 2 % fee. At the same time, the system automatically sends files with the settlement of a given dose of donations broken down into individual donations to designated e-mail addresses. NGO administrators have the overview of donations available in real time in their user accounts.

The information about each donation also includes contact details of the donor and any other additional information provided.

Who is responsible for retaining a relationship with donors who donated through Darujme.cz?

You and your organization. Darujme.cz is only a mediator and a technical assistant. Donors use it to donate to your organization and it is your responsibility to maintain and develop this relationship.

Whose is donation provided by donor via Darujme.cz? Is it a donation to the donation portal or to our NGO?

Legally speaking, the donation is yours from the very outset, even though it passes the account of Darujme.cz. Darujme.cz only plays a role of an intermediary under the Civil Code.

Whose are data provided by donor via Darujme.cz?

Data provided by donor belong to you and Darujme.cz provides you with all the details together with a regular settlement of donations received. Darujme.cz does not use such data for any fundraising or other purposes except for notifying the donor electronically about the donation provided or for fulfilment of legal requirements or in the event of any ambiguities or problems with the given donation and giving.

Who issues a deductible Donation Receipt?

The obligation to issue Donation Receipt has the donatory NGO – so your organization. If the donor requested the Donation Receipt, you are obliged to issue it. Violation of this obligation may set grounds for excluding your organization from using Darujme.cz.

Peer to peer fundraising campaigns

Peer to peer campaigns are a novelty on the portal of Darujme.cz and also the the entire driving force behind the portal existence. Peer to peer campaigns respond to the worldwide growing trend of peer to peer fundraising. The principle is simple and you might have already seen it somewhere: a supporter of NGO, we call him or her an ambassador, approaches his or her beloved ones – friends, family, co-workers… and ask them for a donation to any NGO of his or her choice or to a specific project. It is often connected to some event associated with the ambassador – birthday parties, weddings, but also sports events such as running a marathon.

Darujme.cz provides features that enable the user to start such a peer to peer campaign online and use all payment methods offered by Darujme.cz. NGOs can see an overview of all campaigns started by their ambassadors in their favor, receive notifications of any new campaigns as well as contact details of their ambassadors.

Donations are processed in the usual way as for other NGO projects – they are accepted directly into the account of Darujme.cz and transfered at regular doses to the target organization of the donor´s choise. Ambassador is thus “de facto” in the role of a fundraiser that receives donations for a given charitable purpose from their surroundings. You as an organization should therefore not ignore both the relationship and the communication not only with donors you acquire thanks to the ambassador, but also the relationship with the ambassador him/herself.

Are there any giving portals operating successfuly?

Yes, quite frequently! Darujme.cz drew inspiration at the beginnig especially from these two successful international giving portals:
