In cycling, domestiques are team members whose role is to support their leader and help them reach the finish line in the best possible shape. Domestici.cz is a project that connects active people with the topic of palliative care — so that they can support their loved ones while they still have the strength, and contribute to the development of palliative care, which sooner or later, most of us will need.

Life should remain meaningful and dignified until the very last second. That’s what palliative care is here for.
Our dream is to create a high-quality awareness project focused on this essential topic. As a non-profit association, we rely on your support to make it happen.
Right now, we’re a small team of just four people, doing everything we can to shine a light on palliative care — and make sure this topic gets the visibility and attention it truly deserves.

What Have We Achieved So Far?

  • We raised over 11 million CZK to support organizations providing palliative care — learn more about the fundraising campaign.
  • Organizing public awareness events such as the charity bike ride "8 Days for Palliative Care" in 2025
  • We helped the seriously ill doctor Petra Vrbová organize the “Petra Calls 155” fundraiser for the hospices in Semily and Vrchlabí and raise over 1 million CZK 
  • We organized a series of public talks and community events to promote the topic.
  • We recorded multiple podcast episodes featuring inspiring guests.
  • We involved public figures and personalities, encouraging them to launch their own donation challenges.
  • We gained the support of corporate partners such as T-Mobile, Česká spořitelna České spořitelny and others.
  • We appeared in numerous media outlets and press coverage — see the full list here.
  • In 2024, we successfully completed the Race Across America, dedicating the ride to raise awareness and support for palliative care.

Where Your Donation Goes

Your support helps us cover the essential costs of running and growing our non-profit activities, including:
  • Hosting public talks, panel discussions, and expert forums, including venue rental, technical services, promotion, and ticketing
  • Managing and developing the association’s social media presence
  • Maintaining and updating our website, including hosting, domain fees, content updates, and development
  • Creating graphic design and DTP materials to promote palliative care and our mission
  • Producing and printing informational and promotional materials
  • Conducting media outreach and PR campaigns
  • Securing technical equipment and services needed to run events and campaigns
  • Producing and distributing promotional items
  • Covering travel and logistics related to the execution of our programs
  • Funding staff compensation for people directly involved in our activities
  • Paying for accounting services and necessary administrative expenses
  • Covering other costs related to raising awareness about palliative care and supporting our mission
